Outreach Programs
Our outreach programs visit 2nd, 4th, and 6th grade classrooms to support Utah science curriculum and inspire the future stewards of our Living Planet. Click below to learn more about these programs.

Rainforest Van
Our 2nd grade program reinforces science objectives to introduce concepts about tropical rainforests and mapping skills. Students will “travel” across continents identifying locations of tropical rainforests, observing live animals, and connecting their ideas with evidence to make conclusions about how the animals survive in this vital ecosystem.

Utah Waters Van
The Utah Waters Van is offered to 4th grade students throughout Utah. The content is specifically designed to correlate with the Utah State Office of Education’s Science Core Curriculum. Presenters guide students through a variety of topics including; wetland ecosystems, the water cycle, and water conservation.

Ecosystems Van
The Ecosystem Van is designed for 6th graders. This program demonstrates how the stability of populations is affected by changes to an ecosystem using the new Utah State SEEd Standards. Interactive games, activities, and models are paired with animals to connect students with the worlds ecosystems. This program also includes an interactive, online, student game that teachers can utilize as a post-visit activity to apply the concepts learned.
Scout Workshops
We offer workshops for Boy and Girl Scouts. All workshops include hands-on, council-approved instruction and Aquarium admission for the day. All our educators are merit badge counselors and/or registered Girl Scout volunteers and have completed Youth Protection Training.
Summer Camps
There’s a Loveland Living Planet Aquarium Summer Camp for every animal-loving kid. This year, we’ve added three new camps and more camp options for campers ages 4-5 and 6-7. All camps include Animal Encounters, behind-the-scenes experiences, themed activities, a T-shirt, water bottle, backpack, and access to camp photos.
Teacher Professional Development
Loveland Living Planet Aquarium offers free professional development workshops throughout the school year to public and charter schools teachers.
