The Education Team at the Aquarium is taking vigilant precautions to protect our staff and your students. Shortened programs, mask requirements, and social distancing are all in place and practiced with consistency to ensure everyone’s safety.
Field Trips
Aquarium self-guided field trips and EcoVenture classes are available for K-12 and are targeted to generate excitement about science. Our classes are free, CORE based, and feature hands on activities and encounters. Click below to learn more about these programs and book your trip.

Rainforest Van
The Rainforest Van is offered to 2nd grade students throughout Utah. The content is specifically designed to correlate with the Utah Science with Engineering Education (SEEd) Standards. This program explores the structure and function of animals from tropical rainforests around the planet.

Utah Waters Van
The Utah Waters Van is offered to 4th grade students throughout Utah. The content is specifically designed to correlate with the Utah Science with Engineering Education (SEEd) Standards. This program explores Utah environments and the adaptations of the animals that live there.

Ecosystems Van
The Ecosystem Van is offered to 6th grade students throughout Utah. The content is specifically designed to correlate with the Utah Science with Engineering Education (SEEd) Standards. This program explores various ecosystem interactions both large and small and encourages students to have a positive impact on their own ecosystem.
Scout Workshops
We offer workshops for Boy and Girl Scouts. All workshops include hands-on, council-approved instruction and Aquarium admission for the day. All our educators are merit badge counselors and/or registered Girl Scout volunteers and have completed Youth Protection Training.
Summer Camps
In compliance with recommendations from local and federal guidelines, in-person summer camps for 2020 have been canceled. Learn more about our Virtual Aquarium Adventures that can be done at home with guided instructions from our educators.
There’s a Loveland Living Planet Aquarium Summer Camp for every animal-loving kid. This year, we’ve added three new camps and more camp options for campers ages 4-5 and 6-7. All camps include Animal Encounters, behind-the-scenes experiences, themed activities, a T-shirt, water bottle, backpack, and access to camp photos.
Teacher Professional Development
Loveland Living Planet Aquarium offers free professional development workshops throughout the school year to public and charter schools teachers.
